Sailor Fountain Pen will release the “Longing for a Long Sword Sharpening Ebonite Fountain Pen” in a limited edition of 500 units worldwide (250 in Japan and 250 overseas) from November 18th.
Equipped with a super-large 21-karat long sword sharpening nib, the ebonite fountain pen “Longing” has a profound feeling of leaflet work on layered ebonite wood. The main body is made of colored ebonite wood with the motif of Japan painting. Ukiyo-e, which specializes in beautiful paintings that look like dolls, uses Suzuki Harunobu’s “Tsurebiki” as a color motif. The lyrical and fantastical atmosphere expressed in neutral colors mixed with the colors of Harunobu Suzuki is expressed by the color ebonite axis, which is layered and intricately interwoven.
The long sword sharpening is the ultimate original nib that can only be made by a limited number of craftsmen. The tip of the pen tip is larger than usual, and the pen tip is long and smoothly sharpened like the blade of a long sword. It has the feature of being able to draw thick lines when the pen is laid down and thin lines when it is erected, and it is possible to write kanji with many kanji such as tome, hane, and harai most beautifully. In addition, compared to a standard nib of the same character width, you can write thicker lines, and you can feel a smooth writing feeling without applying pressure. There are three types of character widths: medium thin (MF), medium (M), and bold (B).
As a special specification engraved with a serial number, there are no two identical gems in the world. You can enjoy the feel of the beautiful ebonite wood that fits comfortably in your hand and the smooth writing feeling of the one and only long sword sharpening pen tip. The suggested retail price is 198,000 yen (tax included).
