List of images of the “US NAVY Mark Diver’s Watch” ball watch masterpiece “Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU” limited edition model in Japan
In 2012, Ball Watch launched the “Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU G5 Japan Limited,” a Japan-only model that is a further upgrade of the “Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU” developed with the cooperation of the U.S. Navy’s Diving Experimental Unit. From July, it will be on sale at authorized retailers nationwide and the official online boutique of Ball Watch. Prior to this, the online boutique will start a program from noon on Friday, June 20 where you can apply for reservations and purchases by selecting your favorite limited number from 01/50 to 50/50, which is a limited number in Japan.
Since its first appearance in 2012, the Engineer Hydrocarbon NEDU has reigned at the top of the collection as a symbol of professional diver’s watches. The name “NEDU” is derived from the US Navy Experimental Diving Unit, a diving experimental team of the US Navy. The unit is known for its scientific systematization of the “decompression diving table” at the dawn of saturation diving and is a legend who established the essential standards for modern professional diving.

Of course, the world’s first patented automatic pressure reducing valve built into the crown and the Safety Lock Crown system, which is the protection mechanism of the crown, are inherited.
The case material is made of grade 5 titanium, the first of its kind for a ball watch. Composed of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium, this high-grade material is twice as hard as pure titanium, has excellent corrosion and heat resistance, and is known as an advanced material used in the aerospace and medical fields.
The material also has the advantage of being less likely to cause metal allergies, and the bracelet is firmly fixed to the case body using a total of four locking pins, two on each side of the lug part of the case. It is designed to prevent the watch from falling even in the event of an unforeseen situation, and it is designed to withstand long-term use even in harsh environments.
In addition, the bracelet has a tapered shape that combines titanium and stainless steel, achieving both rigidity and balance. The buckle is made of high-precision parts machined by CNC machining, and has a double-door locking structure that can withstand a tensile force of 140 kg heavier. It boasts durability that has cleared 5,000 opening and closing tests, and is also equipped with an extension mechanism that can be attached and detached from the top of a diving suit.
The movement is powered by a high-precision calibre with a Swiss C.O.S.C. certified chronometer. The “US Special Operations Combat Diver” emblem is embossed on the caseback, and together with the serial number indicating 50 pieces limited to Japan (black bezel and blue bezel combined), it creates a strong image and limited feeling of this model.
