Cartier releases a limited edition watch to commemorate Japan’s 50th anniversary on September 25! Appeared from two popular types “Santos de Cartier” and “Panthère de Cartier”

The dial of the Japan limited edition model of the Panthère de Cartier uses black lacquer to express the motif of a paper pattern found in the personal archive of Louis Cartier, the third owner of the company, in a unique interpretation of Cartier. Limited to 150 pieces.

The history of the Panthère in Cartier dates back to 1914. Cartier’s first panthère began with a jewellery watch with diamonds and onyx to represent the pattern of the panthère. After that, the watch collection “Panthère Ducartier” was announced in 1983. It gained popularity during the opening of the glamorous 1980s, and continues to be loved as a watch that symbolizes the Maison to this day. The supple bracelet of the Panthère de Cartier evokes the graceful movements of the Maison’s iconic animal, the panther.

Panthère de Cartier Watch Small Model Case Size 23mmx30mm, Thickness: 6mm / Yellow Gold Case / High Efficiency Quartz Movement / Daily Life Water Resistance ¥3,696,000 (Pre-price, 150 pieces for Japan only, released on September 25)

The dial of the new Japan limited edition model is inspired by the beautiful patterns of traditional Japan thin paper patterns used to dye textiles and kimonos. At the beginning of the 20th century, Cartier began to incorporate the essential design of Japan’s aesthetic into his creations as an important inspiration. The paper pattern that inspired the new work is exquisitely expressed in a polished dela lacquer by a grandfather in Japan.

Now that Cartier is celebrating the 50th anniversary of opening its first boutique in Japan, why not welcome Cartier’s masterpiece watches, which stand out for their presence and elegance with each ticking hour, at milestones in life, such as work and personal life?

Japan limited edition model with only a quantity of about 10 pieces[German luxury watch brand “Moritz Grossmann”]Attention to the new design according to the 37mm diameter case – Watch LIFE NEWS|Watch news site to enjoy watch life

Moritz Grossmann, who opened the Moritz Grossmann boutique in Harimazaka, Tokyo, in 2015, has announced two models limited to Japan to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its arrival in Japan. It is a rare model with 18 models with an 18K rose gold case and 15 models with a stainless steel case, both of which are scheduled to arrive after 2025.

【Image】Two Japan limited models, check the difference with front photos and specs

The limited-edition model announced this time is a reinterpretation of the brand’s first model, the Benu, and a new design that matches the well-proportioned 37mm diameter case. Two types of case materials were available: 18K rose gold and stainless steel.

Both models feature Arabic indexes in the same font as the First Venou, carefully polished brown violet hands, and a cleaner Railway minute scale. In addition, as an homage to pocket watches made in the 19th century, the “M.GROSSMANN” logo and pear-shaped thin and delicate hands are designed.

The movement is a “caliber” 102.1 with a 3/5 plate and a strut structure, and the hand-engraved cursive brand name, Glashütte lettering and a plate with a wide ribbed pattern accentuate this hand-wound small-diameter calibre.

The belt is made of hand-sewn alligator. The price is scheduled to be 8.8 million yen for the 18K rose gold model and 6.05 million yen for the stainless steel model. All of them are rare models with only 10 pieces, so if you are interested, it is better to contact us as soon as possible.

The “Union Square Watch” originated from the location of Tiffany & Co.’s former flagship store located in downtown Manhattan for about 35 years from 1870, decades after its founding. It is a watch that pays homage to the former Union Square store.

The model is handcrafted by skilled Swiss craftsmen and features a square-shaped case inspired by Tiffany & Co.’s past achievements.

Only a few in the domestic market! Limited edition 599 pieces of “Montblanc Ferrari Stillema SP3 Limited Edition 599” are now on sale!

There are lovers of various genres around the world, such as art, cars, watches, sneakers, pottery, etc., and the same is true for writing instruments.

Among them, the fountain pens introduced this time are sure to strike a chord not only with pen collectors, but also with car lovers, especially Ferraristas. Moreover, it is a co-developed product that is different from the usual (nominal) partnerships and collaborations.

This fountain pen is the second in a partnership between Ferrari × Montblanc called the Montblanc Ferrari Stilema SP3 Limited Edition 599 (hereinafter referred to as the Stilema SP3).

As the name suggests, the SP3 was inspired by Ferrari’s Daytona SP3 series, and Stilema means “style, form, Thailand” in Italy.

Heaven and earth trimming * Gallery unused

This “ICONA (ekona = British icon)” is a new series of Ferrari that appeared in 2018.

While seeking design motifs from successive heritage models, it was planned as a limited edition car segment that realizes a new design interpretation that is not just retro-modern and modern performance. The first and second models of the ekona were announced as the “Monza SP1 / SP2”, which is limited to 500 units worldwide. It is a topless model of single-seater (SP1) / two-seater (SP2) based on the “812” series.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the third hypercar in the ICONA series following the Monza SP1/SP2, and is a hypercar that was announced in November 2021 and is limited to 599 units worldwide.

As ENGINE readers know, it was the first model in Ferrari’s history to use “Daytona” as its official name, and it was sold out as soon as it was officially announced.

The fountain pen “Stilema SP3” was jointly developed by Ferrari’s design department and Montblanc, led by Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s chief design officer, who also worked on Ferrari’s Daytona SP3, F8 Tributo, and 296 GTB.

The number of production is 599 units worldwide, which is the same as the limited number of “Daytona SP3”. The allocation for the Japan domestic market is said to be only a few.

Now, I would like to focus on the points of design and function Thailand.

Beautiful body design

The cap and body are made of lightweight titanium. It is reminiscent of the streamlined body lines of the Ferrari Daytona SP3.

The nib is engraved with the letters “SP3” and the Montblanc emblem. The nib is made of solid white gold, and the manufacturing process goes through about 30 steps, all done by hand.

The cap is decorated with Ferrari’s iconic Prancing Horse and the Montblanc emblem is engraved on the tip. The grip part is reminiscent of the body and movement of the machine, with a titanium form and chopping.

▲ A cap engraved with Ferrari’s emblem “Prancing Horse” and a handmade nib with shining white gold.

Ink filling is also characteristic

And Thailand note is that it is designed with an innovative release system that reflects Ferrari’s cutting-edge engineering Thailand and has a refill mechanism.

When you pull out the butt shaft of the pen, what appears inside is Thailand Nnarbad, which imitates the Montblanc emblem (cross-section). It twists it and sucks in ink from the tip of the pen. Fill the ink as if you were filling it with gasoline. This old-fashioned fountain pen ritual will also capture the hearts of car lovers.

To embody the sleek design, the ink-filling mechanism is hidden under a blade cut into a titanium shaft.

When the translucent blades of the Ferrari Red are pulled back, a unique mechanism for filling ink is revealed, as if fuel is being added to a sports car.

It’s hard to notice, but the cross-section of the part where the ink is filled (it looks like a horizontal stripe in the photo) is a white icon of Montblanc.

As shown in the photo above, if you pull the butt shaft (to the left in the photo), the “MONTBLANC” logo will appear casually on the side of the body.

Despite the fact that it is limited to 599 pieces worldwide, and is owned as a collection piece or art piece, and is rarely actually used as a writing instrument, we will develop a new ink filling mechanism without compromise. That’s the pride of Ferrari and Montblanc.

A product that beautifully embodies the beautiful design and function jointly developed with Maranello, and the craftsmanship of Germany. Isn’t it very emotional?
