Cartier’s Tank Française, which underwent a bold renewal in January last year, has unveiled a Japan-limited edition model this year, which marks the 50th anniversary of Cartier’s opening of its boutique in Japan. The distinctive dial of this work looks like a single piece of embossed paper. The minimalist and monochrome design is inspired by the culture of “respecting simplicity” that exists in the Japan tradition. Blending into the dial, which shows various expressions depending on the amount of light, are simple yet strong silver indexes. Since it has a sense of unity with the dial, it seems to expand radially with a Mr./Ms. finish, like the normal model, and visually gives a sense of depth, but it is interesting that it is expressed almost at a height close to two dimensions.

The long-standing partnership between the two companies has been highly appreciated, resulting in the creation of this special model.

Aston Martin Japan announced the DBX707 Japan Midnight Podium Edition, which will be produced in 11 units limited to Japan at the end of 2023. To commemorate this, a “midnight event” was held at the House of Aston Martin Aoyama on May 10, 2024, and the actual car was unveiled.

Handcrafted exclusively for customers in Japan by Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke and coachbuild division, the collection is based on the comfort-oriented Azur derivatives with special interior and exterior features.
